Our Maui's developed a slight crack exactly where the screw was fastened. We returned them for their "2 year warranty," since we only had them a few months. After a couple weeks we got a postcard from "Joan" in the repair dept. telling us that these were discontinued and that we could select another $300 pair for "30% off retail." When we explained that would be more than we paid through the awesome Amazon system, she said we were out of luck! She even trashed Amazon as "discounting discontinued models" when our model was described as a new model on their own website! "What about the warranty?" She said, well, there seem to be other cracks (implying a drop, etc.). In other words, no honoring warranty unless you pay to replace them for MUCH more than you'd pay new on Amazon! IMPORTANT: This review is NOT against any of Amazon's fine vendors, it is about Maui Jim itself. If you want a great brand of sunglasses at half the Maui price, with FAR more honest customer service, and no "phony" warranty, try Oakley's new radar range or other models *NEW* OAKLEY RADAR RANGE Sunglasses l Metallic Red Frame/VR28 Black Iridium Lens. Maui's are cool, but if you encounter any problems, don't count on their warranty to be even close to honorable.

Made with pure quality and all of the technical advancements you want in a pair of sunglasses, the Kapalua from Maui Jim is just what you've been waiting for. Lightweight, but durable, they have adjustable silicon nose pads, a flexible hingeless design, and saltwater effectiveness. The Polycarbonate lenses are polarized and UV protected and are also completely Rx-able. It really doesn't get much better than that. Includes a protective case for storage.
