(More customer reviews)I already own a pair of Solar Shield spring clip-ons to fit over my Rx glasses, which I purchased at a local pharmacy. That pair was about $20, with amber lenses and good blue-filtering and polarization which cuts down a lot of the glare from the Florida summer sun.
The lenses of the Cocoon shades have similar optical characteristics to the Solar Shield, but one benefit is that when I ordered through FishUSA, they provided PDF files of templates which I could print out and measure against my prescription frame to ensure I was getting the appropriate size.
My lenses are thick, so I had to take pliers and adjust the pins to enable a snug fit, but I had to do the same with the Solar Shields so no big deal. Also, the spring on the Cocoons is more forgiving, requiring less force to expand; whereas the Solar Shields I need both hands to put on, the Cocoons I can easily put on my glasses with one.
If I'd known about the Cocoons, I would've bought them instead, they fit my lenses more precisely and the optics cut glare and improve visibility the way I want them to.
