- For the same exact product at a much cheaper price, go to a gun convention and purchase these there.
- If you're wondering if you should get the clear lenses, I would say yes because you want to practice shooting in the most natural, unaltered environment; so clear lenses are more practical and versatile in case you need to use your firearm for immediate defense because you won't have time to put on your colored lenses or any lenses at all to aim properly.Overall, good product!

Pyramex Ztek Readers Safety Eyewear Review

I purchased these thinking that the magnifying lens was bifocal or simply the entire lens itself. Instead the glasses only have a magnifying window the size of a nickel and are spaced too close together for my eyes to be able to focus. A week later I bought a magnifying "bugs eye" which works much better since my eyes don't have to squint to see through the tiny magnifying windows on these glasses.

(More customer reviews)These glasses were really impressive. Being ducks unlimited I expected they would be good but at the price I was not expecting anything this nice. I am in the military and my unit gets issued the Oakley M frames which go for around 120 if the government doesn't give them to you for free and I like these better. They extend in length which one might expect but closer to the frame there is another joint that lets you adjust the angles of the legs seperately so if your one of the people that has glasses sit at a funny angle on your face these glasses can deal with that. There is the main carry pouch that can hold the glasses and the extra frames, there is another pouch inside but not attached with dividers for the extra 4 lenses, retaining strap so you can drop your glasses off and let them hang if you would like, the carry pouch/lens cleaner for just the glasses, also comes with 2 sets of instruction on for swithing the lenses out and another that gives a break down of the different colored lenses. The lenses were a little hard to swith out I couldn't just ease them out like it said so instead of pulling straight down from the center I pulled down at an angle, good news they shouldn't fall out on you. I gave them 4 stars because they haven't taken shrapnel yet, and I hope I don't have to find out how well that works out.

(I guess I get the added benefit of real eye protection in case a rock flies into my face, or something). I have the yellow/amber, which are great for cloudy days. They stay on my face very well (no bouncing) and block out the wind. They do not chafe my ears, but I suppose that might differ from person to person. The rubberized nose- and ear-pieces are nice. Very worthwhile purchase, especially for the price!

They are very versatile, and have both length and tilt adjustments for maximum comfort. The lens clarity is great and displays very little distortion, even on the sides. The carrying case is well thought out and provides a lens carrier that separates the other four lenses not in use. Overall it arrives in a very convenient and user-friendly configuration.
Changing out the lens for another color is quite simple if you follow the included directions. It does take a bit of hand strength to do the switch out, at least at first. The lenses are quite stout while the frame is quite flexible and strong. Also, because of the various adjustments and overall design, these glasses appear to fit quite well over regular, corrected glasses.
Not mentioned in any literature is the fact that these lens are all UV protective lenses. I was informed of this when I contacted the manufacturer asking that specific question. All in all, I'm quite happy with the purchase of these glasses and hope to get many years of service out of them.

I have owned 4 pairs, 2 pairs of black and 2 pairs of brown.
For the price they are a great deal for stylish yet functional glasses.
I very much like the large lenses that give better peripheral and frontal vision.
There's no magnification or distortion from the lenses.
They don't fog easily, great for keeping things out of your eyes.
The frames are well built and styled for larger heads, the arms wrap and fit the skull well and don't fall off easily, the hinges are super durable.
The lenses don't fall out easily unless dropped hard.
The black lenses are a lot darker than the brown.
And the brown are a little bit nicer for afternoon driving than the black.
But if you need to block some sun(sunrise or sunset, ocean glare) use the black.
I had 2 pairs for 2 years and put them through a bit of rugged usage, skateboarding, fishing, driving, running, wood working, etc.
Eventually I scratched the lenses up too much and the frames exterior gloss coat started de-laminating on the black pair from sweat.
But this is after ALOT of daily wear! I tried to buy another 2 pairs from Chick's in Vista but they were bought out and discontinued carrying this awesome item!
So I bought another 2 pairs on Amazon and I'm stoked.
The nice part to is that they have continued to make these glasses so I don't have to go out and figure out what fits again.
Hopefully S4 continues to keep this line active, they're some of the best glasses I've ever had!!
I only wish they'd make these with clear lenses as safety glasses too!!

(More customer reviews)I got mine about six months ago. I wear them everywhere I go. They fit like an actual pair of sunglasses, hey come with a retention strap that I never had to use. They never slide off, and stay comfortable they entire time you have them on. I've worn them on 24 hr patrols and haven't had a problem at all.
As eye protection, they hold up better than the standard issue revisions. I never had them fog up on me at all. where as I couldn't see out of my revisions with in five minutes when I had my gear on. The cdi lenses pop in and out real easy, so going from day to night operations is not a problem at all. Since the lenses somewhat small, you can keep your extra set right in one of your numerous pockets. The lenses are also really tough, my dark have sustained several scratches, but can not be noticed when worn. My clear ones have not been so lucky. Just make sure that your NODS don't touch the lens and you should be ok. Of course, carrying a couple extra is never a bad idea either.

Oakley Men's M Frame Iridium Sunglasses Review

According to some sites, Oakley had release three different types of M Frame glasses over the years. The originals debuted in the early 1990s, then were revised around 2000, and the latest came out in 2006 (M Frame 2.0). The M Frames I used were purchased from Oakley's Standard Issue program, the same place where I get M Frame 2.0's. The M Frames use the same lenses as the M Frame 2.0, except the 2.0 requires a drill out in the center of the lens for the special clip. The M Frame itself has a tighter fit around the temples, and arcs out a lot more at the corners, which can create interference issues with helmets and straps. The M Frame 2.0 is a flatter and larger/looser fit.
The M Frame 2.0 have very limited lens choices: clear, VR28, and gray. These M Frame "1.0" have a wider variety of lenses with different tints: Strike, Hybrid, Hybrid Small, Heater, and Sweeper. I purchased the Hybrid Small with a Black Iridium lens coating to reduce glare. The VR28 on my M Frame 2.0 was great in any condition other than heavy sunlight and sunlight reflecting off water or wet pavement.
The M Frames I test fitted at a mall were extremely tight, so I suspect the M Frames I bought from the Oakley SI program are slightly newer.
If you don't mind limited lens choices, the M Frame 2.0 is more rugged due to the center clip. That said, the M Frame 1.0 is well regarded by cyclists and Soldiers for eye protection. The M Frame 1.0 has a lot more options for lenses, although you could just remove the clip from the 2.0 and use the same lenses.
