(More customer reviews)I have had the MX31's for over a year and very unhappy. The main problem is that they fog up quickly in any condition. I went to an authorized and well respected eyeglass place and they heard I had problems with these and gave me a few different defogging solutions to use. They still did not help. The problem is with the ventilation. There is no way for enough air to get through the the lenses. I tried these playing rugby, tennis, basketball, and even frisbee and they fog up. I am about to drill holes in the sides but then I saw that there are models with large vents that must have been done because of this design flaw. The strap stinks after each use - more than socks and wristbands for some reason. Washing it is a hassle and the band does not come off. The finish also comes off and cracks and bubbles so it looks very cheap after 10+ uses.

Optic Nerve Photomatic Halogyn, Black Frame Review

(More customer reviews)These are a very neat concept by Optic Nerve. I am most impressed that they are made from 100% recycled materials.
I also like the concept of ultra-light transition sports sunglasses that do not fog up. My applications are skiing, biking & motorcycling, racquetball, and a few other outdoor sports.
I will add that I wouldn't wear them as everyday sunglasses - they wrap around the face, and seem a bit silly unless you're using them for a sports application.
I will also add that these are NOT impact resistant sports frames. Only the lenses are impact resistant - the frames are not intended for use in racquetball or when you need face protection. I only wear them if I've forgotten my proper goggles.
The lenses don't get quite as dark as advertised, probably 70% compared to my el cheapo sunglasses. My old, heavy transition lenses (made from real glass) got darker, but then again, the Optic Nerves sunglasses only weight .75 ounces. Yes, that's not a typo - less than 1 ounce. They are the lightest sunglasses I've ever worn... but that means no metal parts except for the screws, and except for the lenses probably not very durable.
The fit is also not fantastic. A little tight on my face (the wrap-around design makes them impossible to adjust), and the temples are not adjustable. Additionally, the silicone nose pads are adjustable up, but not down. The frames sit too high on my face, and there's no way to adjust them down unless I wear them on the tip of my nose.
Bottom line: Cool concept; Price point to too high; I like the transition but I wish they got a little darker; Anti-fog feature is really cool; Recycled materials are very impressive; Frame is light weight but doesn't seem durable enough; and they don't adjust well. 3.5 stars from me.

The first pair was a similar shape & style but it did not have anti-fog. So after searching, I found these great sunglasses with polarized, anti-scratch, shatter proof and anti-fog lenses. It is also light weight and looks equally stylish as his other pair. Yes it is a little more than the others ones but I really couldn't find another other pair of sunglasses with all these features for this price! What a good buy! :)

(More customer reviews)Because of specific eye problems I have to wear sunglasses outdoors at all times. The Bolle Vigilante with the prescription insert added was the perfect solution for my requirements. But I have complaints.
Vastly overpriced for the quality.Compare these to sunglasses in the ten to twenty-five dollar range and you will see they are of comparable quality. In fact, I have better quality glasses purchased on Ebay from China. The interchangeable lenses are cheap scraps of plastic.My grandchild's toy sunglasses are no worse.
The rubber nose pads and earpieces rot, and fall off frequently. If they were just molded as one piece of plastic with the frames, the problem would be solved and cost less to boot, although I would not expect Bolle to pass along any savings.
Because of the design of the earpieces, it is not possible to attach retainer straps to the earpieces, so they fall off more often and the lenses get scratched up rapidly, resulting in more sales for Bolle.
Can't someone make these things cheaply, or at least give value for the money spent? Until then, I am stuck buying theses frames and their expensive replacement lenses.
