(More customer reviews)First of all, these Costa 580's were my wifes glasses and she really liked them. Yes, it was definitely her fault that they broke also.
The problem is in how easily they broke with them coming off of her head one time, and the price for having the broken lense replaced ... $130.95!
We were not expecting a free repair, but something better than that.
If you buy these 580 glasses, protect them for they do have what seems to be delicate glass lenses. I would be very cautious in wearing them anywhere that they could come under any type of impact! As easily as they broke, I would only consider plastic lenses if I were to purchase another pair of Costa's.
Just wanted people to understand Costa's Warranty, for many mis-understand it.
This is just our opinion and experience with a pair of 580 Costa's.

Costa Del Mar Fathom 400 Sunglasses Review

(More customer reviews)I own several pairs of Costa Del Mar Sunglasses and I couldn't be happier with any of them. Each pair has its individual purpose.....at least that's how I justify buying multiple pairs (because I love them so much). I have owned Oakleys, Ray Bans, and Maui Jims in the past and Costas reign supreme. The Fathom Sunglasses with the Mirror Lenses are very comfortable on my face and perform exceptionally well in the harsh maritime environment where I work. While I do love the style of these glasses, I must admit that the Costas are not quite as "stylish" as the Maui Jims; however, when it comes to performance - especially on the water - Costa Del Mar is untouchable. The Blue Mirror Lenses do a phenomenal job at filtering the yellow light that kills a person's ability to see on/through the water. Also, glare from the sun is virtually eliminated with these sunglasses. I have read a number of negative reviews stating that these sunglasses fall apart fairly easily and that the warranty process is extremely tedious to boot. I have owned my sunglasses for a while now and I have not had any issues with them whatsoever. I do, however, take the time to properly care for them which I am sure keeps them in good condition. I do have a friend that sent in his 4-year-old pair of Costa Blackfins for repair. He admitted to beating them up quite a bit, but they were still in decent condition. For a small, $11 processing fee, they did a complete makeover on his sunglasses and they came back virtually brand new. I have been more than happy with my Costa Del Mar experience. I don't think it's a coincidence that just about everyone who works on the water, especially in sunny Florida, trusts their eyes to a pair of Costas. They truly are the best sunglasses I've ever owned....I can't wait to buy my next pair!!

Costa Del Mar Triple Tail 580 Sunglasses Review

(More customer reviews)This is my 2nd pair of Triple Tails by Costa del mar. I lost the 1st pair - bummer - otherwise, I would not have ordered another pair. My 1st pair were 2 years old, had a little wear on them, and were black with blue lenses. I decided to go with the tortoiseshell frame and green lenses this time, as I do a lot of nearshore, shallow water fishing in FL. These are excellent sunglasses - block the sun well, great polarizing qualities, as you can see through water with ease to help spot fish. The green lenses and type of glass I ordered block the yellow part of the spectrum. I would recommend these to anyone who is serious about having a great pair of sunglasses. P.S. I went to Colorado for 2 weeks and wore them hiking every day out there and they were great!

The moment I slipped the Native's on I knew there was no going back to $10 sunglasses ever again. The polarized lenses were amazing, everything was crystal clear. I also love the color of the lense. The world really is better through rose tinted lenses. I ended up buying the exact glasses and wear them constantly. When I called the company to ask about the pair I'm reviewing, I was pleasantly surprised by the knowledge level of the customer service rep. His recommendation was right on. The lenses go in and out without a problem and seem very high quality. I have no reason to believe the frame won't last just as long as my previous pair. Overall, these glasses are a perfect fit. For the money, I don't know if there is a better deal for the quality Tifosi provides.

Keep out all the sun on the sides and the polarization is great for spotting fish, plus no one can see your eyes. My only complaint is that because the glasses are so wide, sometimes it's hard to pull a hat all the way down, i.e. you're on a boat and want your hat on secure.

I use them for running (almost every day), tennis, dog-walking, hiking, etc. I love to be outdoors and these are great because the adjust to the current light conditions.
